Bake the Rainbow: A Virtual Rainbow Bagel Class

Get creative in the kitchen and bake up something truly eye-catching with our Virtual Rainbow Bagel Making Class. A playful, hands-on online experience where each guest creates four colourful, swirled bagels from scratch.

Led live by a friendly and knowledgeable host, you’ll learn how to mix, knead, and dye your dough using red, yellow, and blue gel colouring. Then twist, stack, and shape the dough into bagels before dipping them in a soda bath and topping with everything seasoning. Finally, you’ll bake your bagels to golden perfection and enjoy the delicious results!

Designed for all skill levels, this experience is welcoming and inclusive, making it perfect for remote team socials, virtual parties, or creative client events. Your host keeps things fun and easy to follow, with opportunities for group chat and light-hearted conversation throughout.

Choose to have ingredient kits delivered or opt for a BYO class where guests provide their own materials. Most dietary needs can be accommodated, including vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free options (gluten-free not currently supported due to dough consistency).

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Your expert host kicks things off with a warm welcome and a quick intro to the class. You’ll go over the ingredients, equipment, and what to expect in your class. 
–> The group will activate the yeast and mix up the bagel dough together, with clear, step-by-step guidance for kneading and prepping—even if it’s your first time baking!
–> While the dough rests, you’ll tidy your space, line your work surface, and get ready for the colourful fun ahead.
–> Once rested, it’s time to divide and dye your dough using vibrant red, yellow, and blue gel colouring. You’ll learn how to knead the colour through for bold, beautiful streaks.
–> Then comes the magic: stack, twist, and shape the dough into rainbow bagels. Your host will guide you through shaping tips so every bagel looks bakery-worthy.
–> After a quick dip in the soda bath and a sprinkle of seasoning, your rainbow creations go into the oven to bake.
–> While the bagels bake, enjoy some relaxed group conversation, like favourite bagel toppings or fun baking memories.
–>  Once the bagels are done, you’ll admire your bakes, do a taste test, and snap a group photo to commemorate your creations.
–> Your host will wrap things up, share the event link, and invite anyone who wants to stay and chat to hang out a little longer.

• Q: What platform is this virtual rainbow bagel making experience run on? A: We run this experience on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex.
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this on our own event link and will send you the link for you to share with your guests after you book. But, if you prefer we can also run this on your own company event link.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this virtual bagel making class is hosted by a live expert host. There will also be an Avva Event Technician running the tech side of your event.
• Q: What materials and ingredients are included in the kits? A: Kits include all ingredients required for your virtual rainbow bagel making workshop. (A full itemised list can be provided on request).
• Q: What materials and ingredients do we need to provide ourselves? A: Attendees will need access to a kitchen and basic kitchen equipment. If you arrange for kits to be delivered to attendees, there are also a few basic ingredients attendees need to provide themselves (e.g. salt, pepper). If you arrange a BYO ingredients class a full itemised ingredients list will be sent ahead of the event.
• Q: Can you cater for dietary requirements? A: Most dietary requirements can be catered for including gluten fee. Some surcharges apply for dietary requirements, so please get in touch for full information.
• Q: How do we send you attendee addresses? A: We will provide an Excel template for you to submit attendee addresses on.
• Q: When do you require attendee addresses submitting? A: Addresses are required 2-weeks before your event. (This may be longer for international events).
• Q: Can we arrange beverages & snacks for attendees? A: Yes, we can arrange for beverages & snacks to be delivered alongside your experience from +£27pp (inc UK delivery). These are delivered separately to your experience kit. Contact us for full details & options available.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
• If you’d like to set us up as an official supplier, please send over any vendor supplier forms for review.
