Each wine tasting online session is designed to be engaging and accessible, whether your guests are new to wine or seasoned enthusiasts. Your sommelier will explain tasting techniques, explore the wines’ backgrounds, and encourage conversation throughout. The experience is designed to foster interaction, spark curiosity, and deliver a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Choose from three preset tasting menus to suit your event’s style and budget  or we can create a completely custom wine tasting menu just for your group. For an added touch of indulgence, an optional cheese pairing can be included.

This event format is ideal for virtual team socials, holiday parties, client appreciation events, and more. 

Delivery is available both domestically and internationally, and the format is fully customizable to meet your goals.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Welcome & Introduction – Your professional sommelier welcomes guests and (optionally) you as the event host introduce the occasion.
–> Wine Tasting 101 – Guests learn the fundamentals of how to observe, swirl, sniff, and sip like a sommelier.
–>  Interactive Wine Tasting – Taste each wine together with expert guidance. Guests share reactions, compare notes, ask questions, and rank their favorites in real time.
–>  Optional Pairings – Add a cheese pairing to complement the wine selection.
–> Final Q&A & Wrap-Up – End the session with a fun and informative Q&A, where your sommelier answers remaining wine questions.
–>  Optional Post-Event Hangout – Keep the Zoom/Teams/Webex/Google room open after the official tasting for continued conversation and connection

The cheese will be paired with the wine choices and will therefore be dependent on which option is selected. Cheese is delivered separately to wine.

–> A blue cheese like Roquefort or Valdeon
–> Crackers

• Q: What platform is this virtual wine tasting experience run on? A: We typically run our virtual wine tasting on Zoom, ensuring an easy, interactive experience. However, if you prefer, we can also accommodate other platforms like MS Teams, Google Meets, or Webex. We’re flexible to match your organization’s preferred setup.
• Q: Can we run this virtual wine tasting experience on our own meeting link? A: Absolutely! While we usually provide a secure event link for your convenience, we can also run the online wine tastings on your company’s meeting link. Just let us know your preference, and we’ll make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Q: Is this virtual event hosted? A: Yes, a live professional sommelier will host the session, guiding your guests through the online wine tasting. Additionally, an Avva Event Technician will be present to manage the technical side of the event, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
• Q. Is this event suitable for virtual client/prospecting events? A: Definitely! This virtual wine tasting is a fantastic option for virtual client or prospecting events. We can adapt the zoom wine tasting format to suit your agenda, making it a unique way to impress and engage your clients in a relaxed, fun setting.
• Q. Can we adapt the format of this virtual experience? A: Yes, online wine tastings are fully customizable! Whether you’d like to adjust the length, wine selection, or even incorporate it into a larger virtual event, we’ll tailor the experience to fit your needs.
• Q: Can attendees choose to receive zero-alcohol drinks? A: Yes, for any non-drinkers we can provide zero-alcohol drink options. 
• Q: Can you deliver nationwide? A: We offer nationwide delivery. Some restrictions may apply in certain states so please get in touch for more information. 
• Q: Can you deliver internationally? A: Yes, we offer international virtual wine tasting with kit delivery to many countries, although some restrictions may apply based on local laws. Contact us for more information on delivery options for your location.
• Q: How do we send you attendee addresses? A: We provide a simple Excel template for collecting and submitting your virtual wine tasting attendees’ addresses. It’s straightforward and ensures everyone gets their kits in time for the event.
• Q: When do you require attendee addresses to be submitted? A: We ask for attendee addresses to be submitted at least two weeks before the virtual wine tasting to allow time for shipping, especially for international deliveries.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• Payment can be made either via card or transfer.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
• If you’d like to set us up as an official supplier, please send over any vendor supplier forms for review.
