Virtual Tea Tasting – A Relaxing And Restorative Experience

Take part in this calming and immersive virtual tea tasting experience led by expert tea specialist Rui. During the session, you’ll be guided through four premium ancient teas sourced from the mountains of Guizhou in southwest China, exploring their flavour profiles, origins, and cultural significance.

Through sight, aroma, texture, and taste, participants are introduced to centuries-old tea traditions and the craftsmanship behind Living Tea. Rui shares stories from her upbringing among tea masters and indigenous communities, offering insight into the heritage and philosophy behind these rare teas.

Alongside the tasting, you’ll learn simple and practical brewing techniques, how to avoid bitterness in green tea, and how different teas vary in character and experience. The session creates space to slow down, connect, and engage the senses in a relaxed and accessible way.

This experience is ideal for virtual wellbeing events, team connection sessions, and client appreciation gatherings, offering a thoughtful and distinctive alternative to traditional online activities.

ABOUT LIVING TEA:

Living Tea refers to tea foraged from wild and indigenous trees, some hundreds of years old, and crafted using traditional, nature-led methods. These teas are produced in small batches using time-honoured techniques that prioritise balance, quality, and respect for the natural environment.

Rather than industrial plantation tea, Living Tea represents a heritage approach to tea-making that reflects regional traditions and craftsmanship passed down through generations.

• Q: What platform is this online tea tasting run on? A: We run virtual tea tasting experiences on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meet & Webex.
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this on our own event link and will send you the link for you to share with your guests after you book. But, if you prefer, we can also run this on your own company event link.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this tea tasting experience is hosted by a live expert host. There will also be an Avva Event Technician running the tech side of your event.
• Q: Can we adapt the format of the tasting? A: Yes, we can adapt the format of the online tea tasting to suit your requirements. Typically, we customize the format for client prospecting events.
• Q: Can you deliver internationally? A: Yes, international delivery is available for a surcharge. (Some restrictions apply.)
• Q: What dietary requirements can you cater for? A: Our virtual tea tasting experiences are vegan, gluten free, dairy free. 
• Q: How do we send you attendee addresses? A: We will provide an Excel template for you to submit attendee addresses on.
• Q: When do you require attendee addresses submitting? A: Addresses are required 2 weeks before your event. (This may be longer for international events.)

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
