In this virtual and online workshop, your employees will learn what menopause is and how teams and managers can better support women during this time in their lives.
Women’s health can be taboo and difficult to understand, but your hosts ‘The Workwell Doctors’ – Dr. Alex Lai and Dr. Nirja Joshi will help your team to unpack the science in an easy-to-digest way.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what menopause is, what the symptoms are, and how we can support team members during this time in their lives.
You can either book a 30min or 60 min session and each session can be adapted to the needs and goals of your group.
In your workshop you can expect to cover the following topics:-
-> Understand the science of female hormones, and how this changes in perimenopause and menopause
-> Discuss the symptoms which are common and less common during this time
-> Consider how symptoms may impact someone’s working environment
-> Understand what support is available through doctors and charities/support groups to help women with symptoms and how colleagues can support others during this time
-> An introduction from your hosts
-> You’ll start by understanding menopause: what’s happening to our bodies
-> You’ll then move on to understanding what are the symptoms of menopause
-> You’ll then cover what could be helpful to women at work
-> Finally the session will conclude and an open floor will be given for questions
