Mystery Under The Mistletoe: A Virtual Festive Murder Mystery

Welcome to Chalet Noëlle, a lavish ski lodge nestled high in the French Alps and the setting for this immersive virtual festive murder mystery party.

This is a theatrical, puzzle-packed, and witty online experience where your team will take on the role of undercover officers tasked with solving the ‘electrifying’ murder of billionaire tycoon Logan “Logey” Snowcroft on the eve of ‘Snowcroft Enterprises’ holiday season shareholder / family retreat. 

Working together in teams of 2-8 people, you’ll examine the crime scene, interrogate suspects, solve interactive puzzles, and debate motives. Along the way, you’ll score points for your detective work, with a final scoreboard reveal to crown the ultimate winning team of detectives.

Designed for virtual team building, holiday parties, and seasonal client events. This light-hearted corporate appropriate festive mystery blends storytelling, competition, and interactive gameplay. With festive alpine backdrops, sound effects, and live hosts guiding you through each round, it’s an unforgettable holiday experience.

The “Mystery Under The Mistletoe” storyline… 

Officers, we’ve been called away from the police holiday party to investigate a murder at Chalet Noëlle, the opulent ski lodge of billionaire magnate Logan “Logey” Snowcroft, CEO of Snowcroft Enterprises. On Christmas Eve, Logan was found dead in the spa hot tub. 

The suspects? Logan’s ambitious son Klaus, desperate to secure the CEO role; his genius wife Clarissa, a tech executive with ties to the company’s AI systems; his idealistic companion Sloane, who recently uncovered damaging truths about Snowcroft’s green credentials; and even I.V.E., the company’s hyper-intelligent AI assistant, which may have developed motives of its own.

With the annual Snowcroft shareholder broadcast about to announce the next CEO, the pressure is on: solve the case before the company, and perhaps justice itself, falls into the wrong hands.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Guests join via video conference (e.g. Zoom) and are welcomed by your live host, Chief Detective Winklebot, from the festive police station.
–> You’ll be briefed on the investigation before being split up into teams of 3-8 people (these can be randomised or pre-set by you for groups under 50ppl). 
–> Across four interactive rounds, you’ll explore different lodge locations, meet suspects, and solve themed puzzles.
–> During each round, teams will spend time in breakout rooms to discuss evidence and solve the puzzle set. 
–> In the finale, each team submits their final verdict: who killed Logan Snowcroft?
–> The killer is dramatically revealed, the motives explained, and the winning detectives celebrated in a festive awards-style wrap-up.

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run this holiday party murder mystery on Zoom as standard, but we can also run it on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply).
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this online festive murder mystery on our own event link and will send you the link for you to share with your guests after you book. But, if you prefer, we can also run this on your own company event link.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, our mistletoe virtual murder mystery event is hosted by a live host playing the role of Chief Detective Winklebot. Depending on the size of your event, there will also be 1-5 Avva Event Technicians running the tech side of your event.
• Q: Do we need to prepare anything ahead of the event? A: No, your guests just turn up and enjoy this virtual holiday season mystery.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Yes, we design the content of our virtual team building challenges to be suitable for global audiences.
• Q: Can we select the teams? A: For groups under 50, teams can either be random or selected by you. For groups over 50, this is done randomly.
• Q: How much of the experience is spent in breakout rooms? A: About 25% of the virtual festive mystery is spent in breakout rooms with your teams discussing and analysing the puzzles. The remaining 75% is spent altogether as an entire group.
• Q: Can this experience work for hybrid groups? A: Yes, our virtual holiday murder mystery party is suitable for fully remote and hybrid groups.
• Q: Should we come dressed in a costume? A: Costumes are encouraged (but not mandatory).
• Q: Is the content suitable for corporate events and families? A: Yes, this murder mystery holiday game has been developed for corporate events. The content is also family-friendly with no violent scenes, graphics, or adult language. This experience is all about having some holiday fun!

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure of attendee numbers.
