Enjoy A Unique And Comical Online Caricature Workshop

Enjoy a fun, online caricature class with the wonderful Sassy Steve – a trained art teacher and portrait artist who has been merrily capturing guests with his speed sketching skills at weddings and corporate events for years.

In this introductory virtual caricature drawing experience, you’ll learn all about the basic proportions of the face within caricature illustrations. This will be your starting point that you can use as a springboard for exaggeration, observation, and some serious cartoon fun.

This is a great way to unleash your inner artist, have some fun, and learn some ‘tricks of the trade’ as you go through your session. You’ll start off by sketching Sassy Steve himself to master the techniques before choosing yourself or someone in your team to take center stage for everyone to draw…

This is a very relaxed and fun class, perfect for an online team social as Sassy Steve entertains you all. Throughout the session, Steve will also be secretly sketching some of you before everyone shows each other their wacky creations at the end!

Once your session is over, you can continue to create more caricatures, chat, and socialize on the call.

The Virtual Caricature Workshop can be themed to include sketching iconic people/celebrities for a range of Inclusivity Celebrations, including Women’s History Month, Black History Month, LGBTQ+ Pride Month or any Inclusivity Event that your organization is marking.

Attendees only require paper and a pencil to take part, with colored marker pens also recommended (but not required). 

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> An introduction from your artist about how you’ll sketch and learn about the basics of caricatures
–> A step-by-step guide starting with sketching your host to master the techniques before choosing a team member to draw!
–> Ask any arty questions you have and feel free to chat, drink and socialize as you go
–> Continue with your artwork following the artist before showing off to the rest of your team
–> Sassy Steve will also be drawing some of you secretly throughout the virtual caricature workshop!

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run the virtual caricature workshop on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply.)
• Q: Can we run this experience using our own meeting link? A: Yes, you absolutely can! Whilst we typically provide a secure link for the virtual caricature class, you are welcome to use your own company’s meeting link if that’s more convenient for your team. We’ll work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, regardless of the platform.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this virtual caricature workshop is hosted by a live expert host. There will also be an Avva Event Technician running the tech side of your event.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Of course! Our caricature class online is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for teams from around the globe.
