It’s the early morning of July 26th, 1962. You’re locked inside the notorious Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, the most secure prison ever built, for a crime you didn’t commit. After years of enduring the harsh reality of prison life, you and your fellow inmates have been quietly preparing for the impossible, an escape across the icy San Francisco Bay.
In this virtual Alcatraz escape room, you’ll have just 60 minutes to break free from your cell, evade the guards, and make it to freedom before you’re caught. Working in small teams, you’ll race to solve intricate puzzles, hunt for hidden clues, and crack codes that will lead you step-by-step towards your escape route.
Your team’s success depends on strong communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure, making it a perfect Alcatraz team building experience. During the game, a live “warden” will be present in your breakout room to provide hints, stir up tension, and ensure the pace stays exciting. But beware, sometimes help provided may not be as straightforward as it seems…

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT
–> Guests join the video call and are welcomed by the lead “warden” host.
–> Participants are split into teams (pre-assigned or randomised), each with a dedicated warden in their breakout room.
–> Teams are given their first clue and the 60 minute countdown to escape begins.
–> Work together to solve riddles, crack codes, and uncover the sequence of steps needed to break out of your cell.
–> Avoid the guards and find your way to the San Francisco Bay without being caught.
–> Race against other teams, with real-time progress updates to increase the tension.
–> Conclude with a results ceremony where the fastest team is crowned the Alcatraz Escape Champions.

Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run Alcatraz Escape Room on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply).
Q: Can we run this experience using our own meeting link? A: Yes, you absolutely can! Whilst we typically provide a secure link for the virtual Alcatraz game, you are welcome to use your own company’s meeting link if that’s more convenient for your team. We’ll work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, regardless of the platform.
Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, every virtual team building event is led by professional hosts who will guide your team through the rounds.
Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Of course! Our Alcatraz game online is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for teams from around the globe.
Q: Can we select the teams? A: Yes, for groups of fewer than 50, you have the option to select your own teams ahead of time or let us assign them randomly. For larger groups, we generally manage team assignments to keep things simple and ensure a balanced experience for all participants.
