Sherlock Holmes’ Winter Tale: A Virtual Festive Team Challenge

Join Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson in this virtual festive team challenge!

Part mystery adventure and part escape room, you’ll work in teams of 3-8ppl to solve the puzzles, decipher the clues and solve the case.

Queen Victoria’s ‘Boleyn Ruby’ has been stolen, you’ll explore Victorian London to locate the ruby and prevent disaster. Challenges will test your logic, pattern recognition,  memory and cunning.

Hosted live by Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson who will guide you through the various challenges. You’ll also play immersive roles as you compete to win Queen Victoria’s reward money, so at the end we’ll know who the ultimate detectives are.

This is a fun, immersive and competitive experience, ideal for team building and company celebrations. The experience can be run for groups sized 5-1,000+ and has content suitable for national and international audiences.

The “Sherlock Holmes’ Winter Tale” storyline…

The year is 1894 and you’re gathered at 221b Baker Street for Sherlock’s annual festive party. A telegram arrives from Queen Victoria explaining that her “Boleyn Ruby” has been stolen. This priceless artefact was due to be returned to the Swedish ambassador and not doing so will set off terrible global consequences. With that, the game is afoot! You’ll join Sherlock and Dr. Watson on a journey through Victorian London, as you encounter a suspicious politician, a desperate landlord and dastardly Moriarty herself. Can you locate the ruby before it’s too late… 

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> You’ll be welcomed by your lead host “Sherlock Holmes”, who’ll introduce the experience and explain the rules.
–> We will then split you into teams of 3-8ppl. These teams can be chosen by you or can be randomly assigned. (For groups 50+ teams will be randomly assigned).
–> You’ll then work through 4 rounds of challenges in different London locations.
–> During the rounds you’ll head into your teams (breakout rooms) to solve the challenges. Points will be awarded on how you complete these.
–> At the end you’ll need to decide where the ruby is located.
–> The experience will end with a reveal of the ruby location along with announcing the winning team.

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run this experience on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply).
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this on our own event link and will send you the link for you to share with your guests after you book. But, if you prefer we can also run this on your own company event link.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this experience is hosted by a live host playing the role of Sherlock Holmes. There will also be a co-host/event technician playing Dr. Watson. Depending on the size of your event there may be additional event technicians.
• Q: Do we need to prepare anything ahead of the event? A: No, your guests just turn up and enjoy the experience.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Yes, we design the content of our game shows to be suitable for global audiences.
• Q: Can we select the teams? A: For groups under 50 teams can either be random or selected by you. For groups over 50 this is done randomly.
• Q: How much of the experience is spent in breakout rooms? A: About 25% of the event is spent in breakout rooms with your teams discussing and analysing the puzzles. The remaining 75% is spent all together as an entire group.
• Q: Can this experience work for hybrid groups? A: Yes, this experience is suitable for fully remote and hybrid groups.
• Q: Can we arrange drinks  & snacks for attendees? A: Yes, we can arrange for drinks & snacks to be delivered alongside your experience from +£27pp + VAT (inc UK delivery). Contact us for full details & options available.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
