A Virtual Dumpling Making Masterclass

Learn to make authentic vegetarian dumplings from scratch in this virtual dumpling making class!

Your live expert host will guide you step-by-step, from kneading and rolling homemade dough to mixing a flavorful mushroom-based filling and folding your dumplings with classic pleats. You’ll also create a rich garlic chili sesame dipping sauce to pair with your golden, pan-fried creations. Along the way, your host will share pro tips, cultural insights, and keep the atmosphere light with fun icebreaker questions to engage your group.

This hands-on cooking class is suitable for all skill levels; whether you’re a total beginner or already love experimenting in the kitchen, the session is designed to be inclusive, fun, and relaxed. Perfect for virtual team building, international team socials, client engagement, or any event where you want people to bond over great food.

Ingredient kits can be delivered in advance, or you can choose a BYO (bring your own) option with a detailed ingredient provided. 

Most dietary needs can be accommodated, including vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free options.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Your expert host will provide an introduction and overview of the dumpling making class.
–> After checking all the ingredients and equipment, you’ll start by preparing your dipping sauce, rehydrating mushrooms, and making your dumpling dough. Step-by-step guidance will be provided throughout.
–> While the dough rests, your host will walk you through the vegetarian filling and share fun dumpling trivia and icebreaker questions to keep things light and social.
–> Once the dough is ready, you’ll learn how to roll out dumpling wrappers and fill and fold each dumpling using traditional techniques.
–> When it’s time to cook, your host will guide you through pan-frying and steaming to achieve the perfect crispy base and soft top.
–> At the end, you’ll plate your dumplings, pour your dipping sauce, and do the all-important taste test.
–> Your host will then drop off the event link, but guests are welcome to stay on and keep chatting if they’d like.

• Q: What platform is this virtual dumpling making experience run on? A: We run this experience on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex.
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this on our own event link and will send you the link for you to share with your guests after you book. But, if you prefer we can also run this on your own company event link.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this virtual dumpling making class is hosted by a live expert host. There will also be an Avva Event Technician running the tech side of your event.
• Q: What materials and ingredients are included in the kits? A: Kits include all ingredients required for your virtual dumpling making class. (A full itemized list can be provided on request). 
• Q: What materials and ingredients do we need to provide ourselves? A: Attendees will need access to a kitchen and basic kitchen equipment. If you arrange for kits to be delivered to attendees, there are also a few basic ingredients attendees need to provide themselves (e.g. salt, pepper). If you arrange a BYO ingredients class a full itemized ingredients list will be sent ahead of the event.
• Q: Can you cater for dietary requirements? A: Most dietary requirements can be catered for including gluten fee. Some surcharges apply for dietary requirements, so please get in touch for full information.
• Q: How do we send you attendee addresses? A: We will provide an Excel template for you to submit attendee addresses on.
• Q: When do you require attendee addresses submitting? A: Addresses are required 2-weeks before your event. (This may be longer for international events).
• Q: Can we arrange beverages & snacks for attendees? A: Yes, we can arrange for beverages & snacks to be delivered alongside your experience from +$59pp (inc US delivery). These are delivered separately to your experience kit. Contact us for full details & options available.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• Payment can be made either via card or transfer.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
• If you’d like to set us up as an official supplier, please send over any vendor supplier forms for review.
