Get your team’s competitive juices flowing in this lively and interactive caricature team challenge celebrating historical female icons around then world. This experience is perfect for celebrating International Women’s History Month with the whole team!
This is a really fun challenge with a hilarious caricaturist, Sassy Steve, who will surely get your team hyped up and ready to draw! Steve will do some pre-challenge exercises to get everyone into the swing of drawing. Steve will run through the basics of creating a fantastic caricature and will share lots of tips and tricks of how to highlight and elaborate facial features.
Ready, Set, Draw! Your team will split into groups in breakout rooms. Here, each group’s historical female icon is revealed. Each room will be provided with a different female icon–Maya Angelou, Frida Kahlo, and Audrey Hepburn– that everyone needs to draw for the chance of winning your own comical caricature, illustrated by Sassy Steve himself!
This is a really fun challenge based experience, perfect for remote teams to get stuck into!
WHO ARE THESE HISTORICAL FEMALE ICONS?
->Maya Angelou – Maya Angelou was an American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, several books of poetry, and is credited with a list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning over 50 years.
->Frida Kahlo – Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón was a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. Perhaps the best known artist of the 20th century.
->Audrey Hepburn – Audrey Hepburn was a British actress and humanitarian. Recognized as both a film and fashion icon, she was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third-greatest female screen legend from the Classical Hollywood cinema.
–> An introduction from your artist about how you’ll sketch and learn about the basics of caricatures
–> A step-by-step guide starting with sketching your host to master the techniques before choosing a team member to draw!
–> Ask any arty questions you have and feel free to chat, drink and socialize as you go
–> Continue with your artwork following the artist before showing off to the rest of your team
–> Sassy Steve will also be drawing some of you secretly throughout the session!
