A Virtual Earth Day Origami Workshop

Many people discover origami using paper already found around the house — envelopes, flyers, magazines, and even old bills can fold up beautifully. This makes origami one of the most sustainable and accessible creative hobbies in the world, and the perfect activity for Earth Day.

In this uplifting virtual workshop, participants are encouraged to bring whatever paper they can recycle as we fold a range of models celebrating animals, plants, and our shared humanity.

For our 60-minute experience, guests explore three themed sections: Animal World (Dove, Fox, Butterfly), Natural World (Tree and Flower), and Our Connected World (a simple Heart symbolizing unity and hope).

Our 30-minute experience includes a Fox from the Animal World, a Flower or Tree from the Natural World, and finishes with a Heart from Our Connected World.

The session highlights the beauty of transformation — turning everyday paper into meaningful creations — while encouraging reflection on sustainability, creativity, and the power of small actions to make a positive impact. Suitable for beginners and experienced folders alike, this experience blends mindfulness with purpose in a way that feels thoughtful and inspiring.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Guests join via video conference (e.g., Zoom) and are welcomed by an expert origami host.
–> Introduction to origami, sustainability, and how recycled materials can be transformed into art.
–> Step-by-step folding of selected Earth Day-themed models based on chosen event length.
–> Highlight activity: participants create a Heart symbolizing human connection and positive impact.
–> Guests share their creations in a meaningful and interactive showcase moment.
–> Optional sustainability reflections, folding tips, and live Q&A.
–> Inspirational farewell celebrating creativity, connection, and care for our planet.

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run the Virtual Earth Day Origami Workshop on Zoom as standard, but we can also run on MS Teams, Google Meet & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply).
• Q: Can we run this experience using our own meeting link? A: Yes, you absolutely can! While we typically provide a secure link for the Virtual Earth Day Origami Workshop, you are welcome to use your own company’s meeting link if that’s more convenient for your team. We’ll work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, regardless of the platform.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this Virtual Earth Day Origami Workshop is hosted by a live expert origami instructor. There will also be an Avva Event Technician running the tech side of your event.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Of course! Our Earth Day origami workshop online is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for teams from around the globe.
• Q: Can this experience work for hybrid groups? A: Yes, this experience is suitable for fully remote and hybrid groups.
• Q: What materials do we need to provide ourselves? A: Attendees are encouraged to use recycled paper from around the house such as envelopes, magazines, flyers, or old documents. Around 8–12 sheets is recommended depending on the chosen event length.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure on attendee numbers.
• Payment can be made either via card or transfer.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
