The Monsters Masquerade: A Virtual Halloween Murder Mystery

Welcome to The Monsters Masquerade, a thrilling virtual Halloween murder mystery where monsters gather in Venice for the supernatural event of the year. Moments before Count Vladimir Bloodworth presents the prestigious Monster of the Year Award, the lights go out. When they return, the Count is dead.

Guests are encouraged to arrive wearing masquerade or Halloween masks as they join the Magical Beings Police Department, helping create an immersive and theatrical experience from the very start.

Hosted live by Chief Detective Mortimer Graves, your team joins the Magical Beings Police Department to investigate the crime before dawn. Working in teams, you’ll examine evidence, interview suspects, solve puzzles, and uncover clues hidden throughout Venice before identifying the killer.

Your investigation includes four interactive rounds:

• 🧛 Round 1 – The Grand Ballroom: Examine the crime scene, inspect the evidence, interview Frankie Bolt, and answer questions about what really happened.
• ⚱️ Round 2 – The Grand Canal Docks: Question Pharaoh Neferkare, analyze a mysterious Vampire Hunter’s Handbook, and determine the murder weapon.
• 🐺 Round 3 – Bridge Of Screams: Interview Selene Howl, decipher an ancient rune message, and uncover new evidence surrounding the case.
• 📸 Round 4 – The Piazza: Meet Bob and Marge Henderson, review a suspicious vacation selfie, and decide which suspect committed the murder before the final reveal.

Combining theatrical performances, deduction, teamwork, and interactive challenges, this experience is perfect for virtual Halloween parties, remote team building, employee socials, and company celebrations.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Welcome & Introduction: Meet Chief Detective Mortimer Graves, receive your case briefing, and prepare for the investigation.
–> Team & Answer Portal Setup: Form investigation teams, choose captains, and sign into the live answer portal.
–> Round 1 – The Grand Ballroom: Examine the crime scene, question Frankie Bolt, and analyze the first evidence.
–> Round 2 – The Grand Canal Docks: Interview Pharaoh Neferkare and investigate the possible murder weapon.
–> Midway Scoreboard: Review the live leaderboard before continuing the investigation.
–> Round 3 – Bridge Of Screams: Decode ancient runes and question Selene Howl.
–> Round 4 – The Piazza: Review the final evidence, identify the killer, and submit your team’s verdict.
–> Final Reveal & Winners: Discover who committed the murder before the winning detectives are announced.

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run this virtual Halloween murder mystery on Zoom as standard, but we can also run it on Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Webex. Some restrictions may apply.
• Q: Can we run this experience using our own meeting link? A: Yes, absolutely. While we typically provide a secure event link, you’re welcome to use your own company’s meeting link if that’s more convenient for your team.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes. The experience is hosted live by Chief Detective Mortimer Graves. Depending on the size of your event, there will also be 1-5 Avva Event Technicians running the tech side of your event.
• Q: How many people can take part? A: The experience is suitable for both small and large groups. Players compete in teams of 2-10 people, or the experience can also be run in a head-to-head format.
• Q: Do guests need to prepare anything beforehand? A: No preparation is required. However, we strongly encourage guests to wear a masquerade or Halloween mask during the event to fully embrace the atmosphere of the Monsters’ Masquerade and enhance the experience for everyone.
• Q: How much of the experience is spent in breakout rooms? A: Around 30% of the experience is spent in breakout rooms working as a team. The remaining time is spent together as one group.
• Q: Can this experience work for hybrid groups? A: Yes, this experience is suitable for both fully remote and hybrid teams.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for corporate audiences? A: Absolutely. The experience has been designed specifically for corporate team building, employee engagement, virtual Halloween parties, and company celebrations.

• Payment is required upon confirmation of your booking. The full balance can be paid or a deposit if you are unsure of attendee numbers.
• Payment can be made either via card or transfer.
• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
• You can change the date or time of your experience up to 14 days prior to a scheduled event based on availability.
