Murder In The Mountains: A Team Virtual Murder Mystery

Welcome to Chalet Montagne, a luxury ski lodge high in the French Alps, and the setting for this immersive virtual murder mystery experience.

This is a theatrical, puzzle-driven, and highly interactive online experience where your team will take on the role of undercover investigators tasked with solving the ‘electrifying’ murder of billionaire tycoon Logan “Logey” Snowcroft during an exclusive corporate retreat.

Working in teams of 2–8 people, you’ll examine the crime scene, interrogate suspects, solve interactive puzzles, and debate motives. Teams will earn points throughout the experience, leading to a final scoreboard reveal where one team will be crowned the ultimate detectives.

Designed for virtual team building, client entertainment, and corporate events, this experience blends storytelling, competition, and collaboration. With cinematic alpine backdrops, immersive sound design, and a live host guiding each stage, it delivers a memorable and engaging online experience.

The “Murder In The Mountains” Storyline…

Officers, we’ve been called in to investigate a suspicious death at Chalet Montagne, the opulent ski lodge of billionaire magnate Logan “Logey” Snowcroft, CEO of Snowcroft Enterprises.

Logan has been found dead in the spa hot tub during a private company retreat.

The suspects? Logan’s ambitious son Klaus, determined to secure the CEO role; his genius wife Clarissa, a tech executive closely tied to the company’s AI systems; his idealistic companion Sloane, who recently uncovered troubling truths about Snowcroft’s environmental practices; and even I.V.E., the company’s hyper-intelligent AI assistant, which may have developed motives of its own.

With a major company announcement looming, the pressure is on. Solve the case before the truth slips away and the wrong person takes control.

OUR STANDARD EVENT FORMAT:

–> Guests join via video conference (e.g. Zoom) and are welcomed by your live host, Chief Detective Winklebot.
–> You’ll be briefed on the investigation before being split into teams of 3–8 people (these can be randomised or pre-set for groups under 50 people).
–> Across four interactive rounds, you’ll explore different lodge locations, meet suspects, and solve themed puzzles.
–> During each round, teams will spend time in breakout rooms to discuss evidence and complete challenges.
–> In the finale, each team submits their final verdict on who killed Logan Snowcroft.
–> The killer is revealed, motives explained, and the winning team of detectives is announced.

• Q: What platform is this experience run on? A: We run this virtual murder mystery on Zoom as standard, but we can also run it on MS Teams, Google Meets & Webex. (Some restrictions may apply).
• Q: Can we run this experience on our own meeting link? A: We usually run this online murder mystery on our own event link and will send you the link to share with your guests after booking. However, we can also run the experience on your company’s own meeting link if preferred.
• Q: Is this event hosted? A: Yes, this virtual murder mystery is hosted by a live actor playing Chief Detective Winklebot. Depending on the size of your event, there will also be 1–5 Avva Event Technicians supporting the technical side.
• Q: Do we need to prepare anything ahead of the event? A: No preparation is required. Your guests simply join and enjoy the experience.
• Q: Is this experience suitable for global audiences? A: Yes, the content is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for international teams.
• Q: Can we select the teams? A: For groups under 50, teams can be selected by you or assigned randomly. For larger groups, teams are typically assigned randomly.
• Q: How much of the experience is spent in breakout rooms? A: Around 25% of the experience is spent in breakout rooms working as a team. The remaining time is spent together as a full group.
• Q: Can this experience work for hybrid groups? A: Yes, this experience is suitable for both fully remote and hybrid teams.
• Q: Should we come dressed in costume? A: Costumes are optional but encouraged for added fun.

• A full refund can be made on cancellations more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event.
